German Gourmet: Authentic German Delicacies in Falls Church, VA

Good selection, beer overpriced to most local imports stores. Lots of baked goods and meats. Doner sandwhich was not authentic but probably the only one in the area. Would probably go more often if it was more accessible.

Took me back to my childhood days in Germany!! All my favorites from when I was a kid! I was so thrilled they even had Oblaten and almond bitters for my German Christmas cookies. The Brötchen was terrific and really reminded me of the smell you get when you pass by a bakery in Germany and get the whiff of bread. All the products I bought were still fresh and the prices were half the cost from Amazon or German Delis shipping rates. I also found local wine from towns next to where I grew up at in Rauenthal! will be back!! I’m one happy lady today, even driving 2 hours out of my way to find this diamond in the rough

The German Gourmet is an excellent business in my community. The food quality, selection and staff are topnotch. My husband and I come here usually to purchase sausages and cheese. We started a new holiday tradition last year where we make a special trip to the German Gourmet to fill our Christmas socks with European confections. This is our second year enjoying the tradition and we love it. The variety of chocolate deliciousness can't be beat and we also pick out a few jams, mustard, and coffee. They have a full deli and bakery. Their beer selection is awesome as well. If you like German and European food in general, you really should stop by the German Gourmet. Thank you for always providing us a great experience. :-)

Amazing variety of sausages! Highly recommend for anyone looking for the end to end German experience. You can pick up everything you need in one trip. Time is money my friends!

Communities from around the world settle in the D.C. area and with them come restaurants and stores. This small store is packed with German products from juice to food. They have a bakery with pastries, a deli with meats, cheeses, and sandwiches. There's even a section of non-food items like shampoo, etc.

Quaint German Delicatessen with a wide variety of German products. I took my mom who was like a kid in a candy store. This place is cramped and it was very popular on a Saturday. Bring your patience for the deli counter as the line gets long. Apparently the tickets are for all the counters - the deli, the cheese and the dessert counters. The staff is quick and helpful. They also have a selection of wines and beer. We will be going back as my mother will need her German food on the regular. :-) I enjoyed it as it brought back memories of my childhood with my German family and traveling to Deutschland.

Such an amazing store in my neck of the woods. I’ve lived in my home near German Gourmet store for almost 14 years, I’ve driven by countless times and never entered. That ended today when I went inside, and it was AWESOME! Having served in the USAF stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany for two years I was able to sample the best of Germany food. I’m not an alcohol drinker so the beers were never my thing. This store took me back to my 19-20’s when I tried the German food, and lived like a king in Germany. This store has any and everything Germany, if you’re looking for a certain food, beer or desserts they got you covered. Don’t be like me and wait years to visit this store, run don’t walk to German Gourmet. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy!
